Jan 21 and Feb 4 Lambing and Kidding 101

I am offering two workshops for beginners on lamb and kid birthing. Are you a new farmer or a wannabe? This is for you. I recommend taking both sessions.

 

Lambing and Kidding 101 Workshop One, Jan. 21 covers from breeding to gestation, care of the pregnant ewe or doe, nutrition, parasites, getting your supplies organized. See our set-up for breeding groups and gestation. Please reserve by Thursday, Jan 12 for the first workshop. 11am-3pm 518-239-6234.

 

Lambing and Kidding 101 Workshop Two, Feb. 4 covers just before birth, birthing, troubleshooting birthing problems, the newborn care. Workshop participants will be invited back to the farm during the birthing period in May to see the newborns and their care.

$40 adult for each workshop, $20 for 18 and under, and 4-H’ers, FFAers, includes lunch (Combo adult & child $50) 11am-3pm Please call to make a reservation 518-239-6234.
